We met up with Christina and Brent at the JC Raulston Arboretum for their engagement session late last summer and had a blast getting to know them both!
They met online a few years ago and for their first date they met at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. They chose somewhere public, and I quote, “to make sure neither of them were an axe murderer” and honestly I can’t argue with that logic! Luckily they were both normal people with zero penchant for axe murdering and they’ve been together since even though they’ve had to do a bit of long-distance during their relationship.
During their engagement session at JC Raulston we chatted all about who they are as individuals and a couple together. Christina is a family doctor hoping to make the transfer to sports medicine and Brent is a high school physics instructor. They love to stay at home binge watching TV shows together but also love a good board game night! Personally, I felt a little more bonded to them when they came to our couples board game night and Christina brought Organ ATTACK which is definitely a game I will be picking up at a game store soon. Anatomy + board game = YES PLEASE!!
Advice For Couples Planning E-Session
“Have fun. Wear an outfit you’re okay sitting on the ground in. Bring band-aids for the photographer. Maybe tweezers for cactus needles, too.“
I may or may not have backed into a cactus multiple times and had one stab me hard enough to draw blood. No biggie – we just continued on as if nothing happened! It apparently left an impression though… ????
