I think the best description for LaCresha + Elliot’s rainy, book inspired wedding at the Meadows is a celebration of love and literature. Every wedding is unique, but their day truly stands out not only for their stunning decor but also for the warmth and love that permeated every aspect of their celebration.

A cold, rainy wedding is not many couples’ first choice, but these two and their people embraced the weather. When I arrived there was so much joy and warmth emanating from everyone that I almost forgot it was 40 degrees outside. Luckily, the Meadows has an amazing awning equipped with heaters that provides the perfect cover from the elements. Despite the chill, we all had an amazing time celebrating the sweet couple!

LaCresha is an avid book reader and wanted to incorporate her love for literature into their wedding decor. Their seating chart was designed after library cards to help guests navigate to their table adorned with a few of her favorite reads. The Meadows provides such a beautiful space, and the book themed for their reception added to those slow, rainy day coffee house vibes.

What stands out to me about their celebration is how much love was shown throughout the day. LaCresha’s family planned so many surprises for the sweet couple, included an extra tier on the wedding cake and a videographer. But the absolutely sweetest surprise came from LaCresha’s siblings. As she and her dad stepped onto the dance floor, the sounds of music filled the room. To everyone’s astonishment, her siblings were playing an enchanting instrumental melody on the keyboard and cello. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house seeing LaCresha’s reaction from such a heartfelt tribute.
