Bridals

About a month before her wedding to her now husband, Megan wanted to have some bridal portraits done at her venue The Oaks at Salem. We scheduled for a warm sunny day and Megan was a true trooper through the heat! Aside from the heat we had the perfect weather with the occasional cloud rolling in to provide some shade!

Megan is one of the sweetest people we have met and is always smiling. She has the cutest southern accent to go with her adorable dimples as well. I completely forgot how much taller than me she is though and was reminded at the session when I had to climb railings and set myself up higher on the hills than her – haha! We started the session on the front porch of the beautiful white house and I definitely climbed up on the railings to make sure I got the height I needed – don’t worry, I have excellent balance thanks to my rock climbing skills! After utilizing the porch for several shots, we started walking around the property to use the giant oak tree and then feature the pond on the property.

But I think my absolute favorite part of this session was getting to meet Megan + Daniel’s adorable doggo, Bailey. She came dressed in a floral collar to match Megan’s bouquet and we only had Bailey in a few shots at the end, but it was enough time to give a few hundred kisses!
